The injectors don't just pump in as much fuel as they can. There is a specific mapped ratio dependent on how much air the engine is pulling in past the MAF. Unless he's drawing enough air in order to need more fuel than 555's can deliver, the 740's will inject the same volume of fuel as the 555's. Doing so just means the 740's will deliver a lower percentage of its maximum flow at any given point as compared to the 555's.
